In the current age of mankind, everything is developed
continuously to provide a better experience and make life easier. Mobile phones
are packed with processing power that can now compared to computer notebooks,
charging technology that makes every electronic gadget you own usable at all
times, cars that can now drive by themselves, and even virtual reality is
starting to come up with the current development trends.
Well, that all aside, one other thing that is now being
developed too is wireless earphones/headphones. Yeah, they are here a long time
ago, but hey, some of them require large batteries to work, and some don’t have
a battery life that lasts for a day, and some just don’t make it to the
consumer’s audiophile needs, but, things do go fast nowadays, that even mobile
phone companies are starting to embrace the wireless change by removing the
famous headphone jack *coughple*; they even created their own full wireless
earphones for that matter.
But hey, fully wireless earphones have some drawbacks,
right? What if you lose one? Will the other one still work? Well. to fix that,
we have something at hand that may be your choice in terms of “Wireless Audio”,
it’s the Aukey Bluetooth Sport Headphones. It is light, bright and has some
wires which connects the two earphones together so you won’t lose them easily.

UNBOXING
The packaging of the product is a white box (up front) and a
light green/cyan color on the back. The front shows a picture of the headset
together with the name “Sport Headphones”, and also three compatibility icons
which shows a Laptop/Computer, Phone and Tablet. The back of the box shows some
features of the earphones including its sweat-proof feature, also, on the
bottom part, you will see some information regarding the company and the model
of the earphone which is EP-B4 (too small to see on the picture, but it is at
the top of the bar code on the lower right). Open the front flap and you will
see a brief information regarding the earphone including the product contents.
You will also see the earphone itself via a transparent plastic cover up front (Click image to view larger version).
CONTENTS
Opening the box from the top and you will be greeted with
everything that’s inside the box in a clear plastic mold (some contents are
placed at the back of it.
So what do you get with it? Starting from the content at the
back, you will get a user manual (which indicates the model of the earphone),
and a small carrying case (cool)
Moving up front, you will have the earphone itself (forgot
to mention, that is the color that we got, other color options from Amazon UK
shows there are blue, red, and black options, we ordered ours at Lazada PH.
What’s weird is that the green color on Amazon UK shows a yellow one), some
accessories like extra ear tips and hooks to help you start easily, and a micro
USB Cable to charge it up
As always, let’s start with the physical aesthetics of the
product. As you may have already noticed, it is colored in a combination of
black and green. The actual wire that connects the two is “properly” long and
what we mean by that is, it is just right, there’s extra length so it has some
weight to hide itself on your clothing especially when working out
The left earphone contains the micro USB charging port which
is covered in green rubber with an embossed USB logo (the placement of the port
is facing forward while wearing it)
The right earphone contains the mic and volume controls
which is also facing forward while wearing it. The volume control has a minimal
embossed icon indicating which is volume up or down. Also, the side of the
right earphone contains the multifunction button with an Aukey branding on it
So, how about the sound quality? Well, we have tested many
different earphones and headphones and we can definitely say that this earphone
packs more bass. It sounds good, but not great, especially when you like a
balanced music output. Set that aside, the battery life works as advertised on
moderate volume, 4.5Hrs of usage time. Connectivity? It works flawlessly
between two concrete walls.
Of course, not every product is great, so as this one. Some
things that we don’t like about this earphone is that the actual earphone is
quite large, about twice the size of the home button of iPhones. Also, the
charging port is not well thought of, we mean, yeah, it has a cover which is
good, but the cover itself is the problem, you see, you need some kind of small
stick or needle to pry the cover open (well, if you have sharp pointy nails, that
would do)
VERDICT
Despite of its ups and downs, it is up to the buyer if
he/she will choose this one or not. It is a good product if you ask as in terms
of a budget friendly Bluetooth earphones. It has good sound quality despite it
being more sided with bass-heads (It has some clarity in it, trust us). Also,
the wire connection between the two earphones is a must especially when you
have an active lifestyle.
